Sunday, September 2nd marks one of the tastiest Sundays at Chattanooga Market. The Beast Feast® BBQ Festival, in it’s 8th year, will bring some of the state’s finest BBQ competitors to the Market sampling and serving their best BBQ. There’s no better way to celebrate a long weekend than Sunday Funday with BBQ.
Chattanooga Market’s Beast Feast BBQ Festival is the largest BBQ competition in the area. This year brings returning contestants, new pit masters and local chefs from the AFC (American Federation of Chefs). Each BBQ team will be selling plates of their BBQ meat, unique sauces, and offerings of tasty sides. The teams will also be selling $1 sample cups, encouraging patrons to try their BBQ in hopes for a “fan favorite” vote. Voting rights cost just $1 and all proceeds will go to the Ooltewah High School culinary class, who will be manning the voting boxes. One of the seven BBQ teams will be awarded People’s Choice for 2018.
And there will be a judge’s vote too—which allows the winner to advance to the World Food Championships in November. The winner will also receive a cash prize, trophy and, of course, bragging rights.
